Auguste Rodin and Salvador Dali have recently been joint together for a unique tribute to the Divine Comedy.
The genius and madness mix of two great artists in Florence, showing until the 28th September, is to give life to a rereading of the work through art immortal Dante. You can view the art in the auditorium of Santo Stefano al Ponte Vecchio.
The exhibition "Dali and Rodin's homage to Dante," is in collaboration with the Se.Di.Fi. (the company that manages the auditorium), the Dante Society and the Foundation Florenes.
It includes 120 prints and bronze sculptures by Salvador Dali, including the 100 songs of the Divine Comedy, and - taken from his monumental work "The Gates Of Hell" - 60 sculptures of Auguste Rodin's bronze work.
In addition you can see, for the first time ever in Italy, the entirety of the rare collection of 143 drawings by Rodin Goupil Album.
